Schedule and Budget meet Reality — 4 Comments

  1. At this time of year, I tend to place my priorities on things that I have intended to do for quite some time at the top of my list! Now the year is nearly past, I needlessly feel I must get my list completed before my guests arrive at Christmas. All of a sudden, I’m in a BIG hurry? Really? Yes, it was important that those things get done eventually but my priority should now be off my list and more on what can I do to show love to family and friends. Relax and enjoy the fellowship of others. Listen for God’s whisper in my ear: “she could use a smile; can you stop a minute to connect with a stranger?” I NEED to redirect my thoughts toward kindness to others and have fewer thoughts of my supposed “need to” list. Come to think of it, maybe my New Year resolution should be just that-show kindness to others. Hmmm.
Today was not the greatest day, but I feel better now that you, my friend, have set me to thinking. I thank God for you and the family He has given me-(I am pretty sure they won’t care that my bathroom didn’t get painted). I am blessed for sure. Y’all, God is good ALL the time.

    • Oh, wow! Today I have found myself more goal-driven than I realized. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I am sure I am not the only one who needs to be reminded God is good ALL the time and that people, not things, should be our priority.
      You bless my heart.

  2. Thank you, Mary, for taking the time to leave that sweet comment. Blessings on you, your family, and the wonderful new year we have ahead of us with Jesus. With Him first, we are more than conquerors regardless of what our world looks like to others. Blessings.
