Learning to Rejoice — 6 Comments

  1. From E:
I read this just shortly before the time for us to go volunteer at the warming shelter. It just made me realize how God gives our lives purpose, no matter our age or circumstances.
Going through the tough valleys prepares us to minister to those God brings across our paths. I love you, dear friend
    Hugs

  2. Thanks, E., for making time to comment. Yes, He indeed gives our lives purpose. Yours is often to encourage me. I applaud your volunteering at the warming shelter.

  3. Oh Susie – this is sooooo very good and comes at a perfect time for my friend! She has been grieving her husband for six years, I believe she said. She needs to read this and understand this grief is ONLY TEMPORARY as you state! She says she is a Christian so hopefully, she will understand what you say! I don’t know how to minister to those who are grieving lost ones (passing or otherwise), but I love how you state it in this issue of PATCHES! Thank you so much for sharing your feelings on this because, for one, I am not there to give you hugs when needed but I know many others are! Second, because I am so clumsy and unable to share this kind of thing, your PATCHES/you, speak it well and I can let PATCHES/you help reach her. THANK YOU! You are still shadowing me and HELPING ME! I LOVE how God work that!!!!

  5. Wonderful tribute and memories. Also I need that challenge too!

Every time we pass through Buffalo, we remember meeting you and your husband many years ago at Casey’s.
